This is a movie of a prototype pick and place mechanism in operation. This prototype was built for a DVD rental kiosk by H32 and Advanced Kiosks. ( www.h32.com, www.Advancedkiosks.com ) The movie shows the robot moving up to grab a DVD case and then moving the case to the interface door. The case is vended to the customer and then returned to the robot where it is placed back on shelf. This cycle was performed several thousand times to simulate a year of vending DVDs. This is a three-dimensional pick and place mechanism showing how two stepper motors move a DVD case along a Z and polar axes to vend the case to the customer.
